The poor of the United States of Eden™ should be required to pay taxes while the rich should not pay taxes. The poor should pay taxes because the poor are more dependant upon the social welfare the government provides. The poor need the support of the health care system, the unemployment system, the public works system, the Federal loan programs, social security and every other governmental system created to help the poor. The rich don't need these things and neither do they use them, so why should they have to pay to support them? They shouldn't.

The rich should not pay taxes. Taxes are to support a government that supports the poor. While it is true that the Democracy needs bureaucrats, those bureaucrats (Senators, Congressmen, Presidents, Judges) are bought and paid for buy rich people. It is the rich people tax, which is a tax that is acceptable. The rich also create jobs for the poor while to poor only take jobs. And if were not for these jobs created by the rich then the poor could not pay tax, so technically the rich do pay tax by employing poor people to work for them and pay taxes.
